Privacy statement

You may visit our website anonymously. However, the possibility may occur, that we need your name and email address. If you choose to provide personal information to us via the internet, it is our intention to let you know whether we will use this information. If you state to us that you do not want this, we will respect your desires. We do not register the domains from which persons visit our website. We do not analyze this information and subsequently we will erase this data.

Arcanum takes up the name, address, telephone number and the email address of the Client in its address system with a view to sending Arcanum newsletters, etc. to the Client. Arcanum’s data protection officer maintains a register regarding the use of the data, other than as required by law: Arcanum’s email newsletter. If the Client or a third party does not wish to receive this, there is an unsubscribe option recorded in the relevant register. With regard to data required under applicable laws and regulations, the Client may indicate that Arcanum may no longer use it. Arcanum will then be required to immediately cease providing services to the Client.

Arcanum observes confidentiality at all times with regard to the personal data provided by Clients. Arcanum has also imposed confidentiality on its external personnel and third parties whom Arcanum engages as necessary for the execution of the assignment. Arcanum never provides personal data to third parties, unless required under or by virtue of the Law and unless required for the execution of the assignment granted by the Client to Arcanum.

Arcanum asks the Client explicitly to grant permission for taking up personal details other than in the framework of the professional rules and Laws applicable to Arcanum.

The details of the Client which will be taken up otherwise than in the framework of the professional rules and Laws applicable to Arcanum shall be kept during a period of five years after the end of the agreement of assignment. Arcanum does not engage in large-scale or automated processing of data that does not qualify under the mentioned categories. Therefore, there is no potential higher risk to the privacy of the natural persons involved with the Clients under the GDPR.

The Client has the following rights regarding data held by Arcanum, other than in the context of Arcanum’s client acceptance under applicable laws and regulations: access, rectification, restriction, objection, portability. Client is entitled to see the own personal data. Client is entitled to object against the taking up of personal data by Arcanum other than in the framework of the professional rules and Laws applicable to Arcanum. Client is entitled to explicitly request Arcanum to remove the personal data concerned from the data base of Arcanum, if this is possible on the basis of the professional rules and Laws applicable to Arcanum.

Requests concerning personal data need to be directed in writing to Mr A C Hoegen Dijkhof data protection officer at the known Arcanum email address as mentioned on this website. Client is entitled to raise a complaint with the Authority Personal data.

In the event that a potential data breach at Arcanum is identified, this will be immediately reported to the management of Arcanum by the data protection officer. The management of Arcanum will investigate without delay whether a data breach has actually occurred and what the consequences and scope thereof are for a possible notification to the competent authorities and the Client.

If necessary, an IT specialist will be engaged in this process.

Arcanum does not use automated decision making or profiling regarding Client’s data.
